It is important that you select a Tongue Drum that fits your tonal and aesthetic needs. They can have from four to fourteen tongues. The more tongues, the more notes and potential variety of sounds to work with.There are 3 basic sizes of drum we carry.
The 6 Key Sparrow, which is 13 by 8 by 6. This is our entry level drum, built to the same high standards as our larger models.
The 12 Key Standards, which are 18
by 8 by 6. At this size, the tongue drum chamber really starts to allow the
tongues to resonate,
creating the beautiful sounds you hear in the clips. This is our most popular
model and a great value.
The Bass Giants. These drums are
massive, nearly 2 feet long, 10 inches wide and 8 inches tall.
At this size, the soundwaves travel through the solid hardwoods and build to
create unsurpassed depth and beauty of sound.
Both our 12 and 14 Key Bass Giants are this dimension and a superb musical
instrument.
